What new Chevrolet vehicles are releasing in 2022?
Chevrolet is a popular choice for anyone looking for a sporty and affordable vehicle, from big trucks to sleek subcompact cars. Their 2022 lineup has much to offer, from major changes to the Equinox and Traverse to the addition of the Bolt EUV, an all-electric SUV version of the well-known Bolt EV. This is another exciting year for the automaker, with the release of several durable trucks, reliable SUVs, and ultra-sporty cars. Check out what’s new for Chevrolet in 2022.
2022 Silverado 1500
The Silverado 1500 has been one of the most popular light-duty, full-size trucks on the market for a long time, and its newest version is a refreshing change from years past. In 2022, Chevrolet enhanced the truck’s interior design, made several technological improvements, and added a new trim level. They’ve also restyled the front ends and interior, starting with the LT trim, to make the layout appear more modern and make the cabin feel more spacious and welcoming.
The Silverado 1500 comes with a range of engine options, including a turbocharged four-cylinder, two V8s, and an inline six-cylinder diesel, making it a capable vehicle for just about any activity, including heavier hauling and towing. Both the base-level Work Truck and Custom trims are great for the more budget-conscious, while the LT adds an impressive 12.3-inch digital instrument cluster and a 13.4-inch touchscreen.
The RT trim adds a few stylish exterior features, while the LT Trail Boss adds a high-powered suspension lift and the LTZ includes an advanced trailering system to help you scan your heavy cargo in real-time during a drive. The Silverado 1500’s newest trim is the ZR2, which has a turbo high-output engine that provides extra torque, perfect for off-roading adventures.
2022 Traverse
Chevrolet has given its three-row 2022 Traverse new exterior styling for additional appeal, along with a variety of new driver-assistance features designed to make your drive safer and more comfortable. Some examples of features include automated emergency braking, lane-keep assist, pedestrian detection, automatic high-beam headlights, and more. The easy-to-use infotainment system features an 8-inch touchscreen and a Wi-Fi hotspot to ensure passengers can stay connected. A standard 310 horsepower 3.6 L V6 engine gives the Traverse plenty of power, and the vehicle also boasts an ultra-quiet cabin.
The base-level LS trim comes standard with automatic climate control and a six-speaker audio system, while the LT Cloth adds an eight-way power-adjustable driver’s seat and a variety of extra charging ports. The LT Leather trim features leather upholstery that gives the interior a luxurious look, plus a power liftgate for extra convenience. Next up is the RS, which adds a Bose premium sound system and a surround-view camera. The top trims, the Premier and the High Country, both add a variety of excellent features, including ventilated front seats and a memory system for steering settings.
2022 Equinox
Like the Traverse, the 2022 Equinox receives a slight facelift, with a brand-new grille design, more unique headlights, and updated front and rear bumpers. The turbocharged four-cylinder engine churns out 170 horsepower and its standard model can tow up to 1,500 pounds. When properly equipped with an extra tow package, it can haul up to 3,500 pounds instead. With a spacious interior and a variety of features, this model maximizes both comfort and space, including Apple CarPlay and Android Auto. There are also plenty of cup-holders and extra options for the various trim levels, plus a 7-inch user-oriented touchscreen.
In 2022, Chevrolet offers the typical LS, LT, and Premier trims, adding the mid-level RS trim. The LS comes standard with a six-speaker audio system, Bluetooth, two USB ports, a Wi-Fi hotspot, and Chevrolet’s full suite of driver-assistance features. The LT trim adds an overhead console, LED daytime running lights, a leather-wrapped steering wheel, and a power liftgate. Next up is the new RS trim, which adds blind-spot monitoring, rear-park assist, and a remote start. Last but not least, the Premier adds a hands-free power liftgate, an auto-dimming rearview mirror, and a safety alert seat.
2022 Bolt EUV
If you’re looking for a great electric SUV, look no further than the 2022 Bolt EUV, Chevrolet’s first electric SUV. The Bolt EUV features rugged, distinctive exterior styling and a comfortable, well-trimmed interior. All EUVs contain a 65-kWh battery pack providing an estimated range of 247 miles, more than enough for a daily commute. The EUV comes standard with a 120-volt household outlet, plus a 240-volt option for faster charging.
Chevrolet offers three trims for the 2022 Bolt EUV: the LT, the Premier, and the Launch Edition. They each have a 200-horsepower electric powertrain, ensuring fast speeds and exciting drives. The LT features a 10.2-inch touch screen, Apple CarPlay and Android Auto capabilities, wireless device charging, an HD radio, and carbon flash wheel inserts. The Premier adds adaptive cruise control, a surround-view parking system, and a multi-display rearview camera with a built-in camera mode. While Chevrolet has not yet released the Launch Edition trim yet, it’s expected to include all the Premier’s features and more.
2022 Chevrolet Corvette
As one of Chevrolet’s most popular and sought-after sports cars, the 2022 Corvette continues to surprise buyers with its impressive performance and power by releasing a new special edition. This Corvette includes a variety of exclusive exterior features, including yellow brake calipers, a Carbon Flash high-wing spoiler, Carbon Flash exterior mirrors, and splash guards. The Corvette’s 6.2L V8 engine is mostly unchanged and still delivers 490 horsepower. Chevrolet has made some notable changes to the engine by upgrading the direct injection fuel system and improving the car’s fuel economy.
There are three trims in the 2022 Chevrolet Corvette lineup: the 1LT, the 2LT, and the 3LT. Included in the 1LT are eight-way power-adjustable GT1 sport seats, an impressive 12-inch driver display, an 8-inch HD touchscreen, teen driver technology, and more. The 2LT includes a performance data and video recorder, a built-in rearview camera mirror, and a head-up display in the windshield. The 3LT adds additional seat adjustments and elegant Nappa leather upholstery.
