Local Car Shows Happening In Columbia, TN

For gearheads, few things are as thrilling as going to a car show. For some, it’s the joy of watching a vintage number painstakingly restored to its former glory. For others, it’s the happenings under the hood that provide that thrill. Columbia car fans have no shortage of entertainment regarding car shows.

At the heart of every close-knit community is an organization that makes a difference in the lives of others. Columbia Counseling Ministries offers a lifeline to those feeling the pressure of life, regardless of whether they can afford to pay for the service. However, these ministries require funding to stay afloat and keep things going. The Red White & Blue Car Show is this ministry’s largest fundraiser and takes place annually in July.

Showtime starts from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. and includes a wide range of vehicles that range from two to four wheels. Categories expected to be at the event include the following:

• Best rat rod.
• Best custom.
• Best engine.
• Best exotic.
• Best paint.
• Coolest rod.
• Coolest drop-top.
• Most liked award.
• People’s Choice award.
• Sponsor’s Choice award.

Visitors to the event can look forward to a wide range of cars, including vintage classics, pure muscle cars, and pimped rides. The entry fees are $20 per car, and there’s an option to upgrade the ticket for premium parking. You can register online ahead of the event, or you can simply register the car on the day between 7 a.m. and 11 a.m.

The event also includes live entertainment by bands such as Classic Vinyl 931. Food options include vendors such as Bri’s Homemade Ice Cream, TN Subs, Donut NV, Kona Ice, The Spice Is Right, and Take Flight Wings and Things.

3rd Annual Muletown Motorfest Car Show

Life with human immunodeficiency virus (HIV), which causes the chronic immune system disorder AIDS, can often be a lonely and stigmatized journey. However, there are organizations committed to creating a smoother journey for those living with HIV. With the right treatment plan and lifestyle changes, HIV can be managed more effectively, and those with the condition can live a happy, healthy life. Columbia Cares provides treatment plans and a support network to those affected by the virus.

The 3rd annual Muletown Motorfest Car Show is an annual fundraising event created in support of Columbia Cares. The event enjoys sponsors such as Parks Columbia, Lyons Ford, Family Advantage, Furniture Innovation, Speed King, and more. There will be plenty of vendors to satisfy food cravings.

The event includes various vehicles, from motorcycles to trucks and everything in between. Registration is $20 per car and takes place between 8 a.m. to 12 noon on the day. The first 150 cars registered will each receive a dash plaque commemorating the day. Show hours are from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m., and prizes will be awarded to the top choices for the day in several categories. Classic Vinyl will provide live entertainment.

Columbia, Cars and Coffee

Why wait a year for a car festival when you can get your car thrill every month? The Columbia, Cars and Coffee event takes place every third Saturday, April through October. There’s no entry fee, and cars are on show from 8 a.m. to 11 a.m. Local vendors provide food and coffee, and you’re bound to see some live entertainment. The event is held at the Columbia Motor Alley — a historic site in Downtown Columbia.

C10 Nationals Nashville Super Speedway

Columbia is just a short drive from Nashville, which happens to be home to the Nashville Super Speedway. The C10 Nationals event is fueled with full-frame trucks and SUVs. There aren’t other vehicle types at the event, such as El Caminos or squatted trucks.

The event is scheduled for Friday, Sept. 29, 2023, and Saturday, Sept. 30, 2023. Vendors and truck show participants are expected to show up on Thursday to take care of the logistics and parking spots for the event. However, participants can register for the event from Thursday through Saturday and aren’t required to book slots for all the days. Those who register before Sept. 10, 2023, pay only $65 per truck, which includes two adult tickets too. After that, the price goes up to $80.

The gates open for spectators at 8 a.m. on Friday and close again at 7 p.m. each evening. Spectators can buy a day ticket for $20, which excludes giveaways. Tickets are $40 each for those who want to participate in giveaways. Kids aged 12 and under don’t pay admission costs.

Each day has a jam-packed schedule, and attendees can look forward to events such as:

• Show-N-Shine Truck Show.
• Heads Up Elimination, which allows anyone with the right vehicle to register for the event. There are cash prizes up for grabs at this event.
• C10 Truck CPP Autocross.
• BFGoodrich Share the Ride.
• Gandrud Chevrolet Dyno Challenge.
• Fun Run Summit Racing Drag Race.
• C10 Nationals Edelbrock Performance Burnout Contest.
• C10 Nationals Meguiar’s Awards Ceremony.
• Cruise the Oval Under the Lights.
• Giveaways.

The event will also have several vendors selling food and beverages. Attendees can also bring their own coolers to the event, though glass bottles and containers are prohibited.

Cruise-In to the Mansion

Another event in nearby Nashville not to be missed is the Cruise-In to the Mansion open car show. The event is in partnership with the Music City Mustang Club; however, it’s open to all types of cars. While the event is free to attend, visitors can book a mansion tour at a cost of $10 for adults and $5 for kids. The show starts at 10 a.m. and goes until 2 p.m. on June 17, 2023. It’s situated in a shaded area on the Two Rivers Mansion property. Vendors will be there on the day, and attendees are encouraged to donate to the MTSU Scholarship Fund.
