2023 Chevy Silverado EV Trims Available

The 2024 Chevrolet Silverado EV will be sold in six trims: Work Truck (WT), LT, LTZ, Trail Boss, High Country, and RST. Unlike the traditional gas-powered Silverado, the EV will only be offered in a crew cab model. The Silverado EV will also feature an available Multi-Flex Midgate that allows you to fold down the wall between the cab and bed for additional storage. This allows you to expand the 5.9-foot bed to 9 feet when the tailgate is up or 11 feet with the tailgate open.

The WT and RST are slated to be the first two EV trims to hit the dealerships, with other trims to follow later. You’ll notice bold lines and futuristic styling guaranteed to turn heads as you pass by on the road in your 2024 Chevy Silverado EV.

2023 Chevy Silverado EV Power and Performance

Two electric motors power the 2024 Chevrolet Silverado EV. According to Chevy authorities, the WT produces 510 horsepower and 615 lb-ft of torque, while the RST delivers 664 horsepower and 780 lb-ft of torque. All-wheel drive and a four-wheel steering system are standard features across all trims. The RST features an adaptive air suspension, while the Trail Boss will add all-terrain tires and locking differentials as the off-road-ready version.

The Silverado UV utilizes GM’s Ultium Platform battery technology to produce a driving range of up to 400 miles on a full charge. Chevy claims that you can charge 100 miles in just 10 minutes at a DC fast charging station.

2023 Chevy Silverado EV Towing Capacity

Towing capacity for the 2024 Chevrolet Silverado EV is estimated at 8,000 to 20,000 pounds, depending on trim level and battery size. The WT has an 8,000-pound towing capacity and 1,200-pound payload capacity, while the RST offers a towing capacity of 10,000 pounds and a payload of 1,300 pounds. The reported 20,000-pound towing capacity is scheduled for models that’ll be released later.

The traditional gas-powered Silverado 1500 features three engine options, which play an integral role in determining towing capacity. The base engine is a 2.7-liter turbocharged four-cylinder for 310 horsepower and 420 lb-ft of torque. You can also get a 5.3-liter V-8 that delivers 355 horsepower and 383 lb-ft of torque. A 6.2-liter V-8 gets you 420 horsepower and 460 lb-ft of torque, while the 3.0-liter turbocharged diesel engine garners 277 horsepower and 460 lb-ft of torque.
