Introducing The New 2022 Chevrolet Line Up

August 26th, 2021 by

Chevrolet has some exciting new vehicles coming in 2022, and as the model year arrives, you can bet Stan McNabb Chevrolet of Columbia will have plenty in stock. We serve clients from Nashville to Huntsville and everywhere in between. So if you’re looking to upgrade your Columbia, TN, commute, the Chevy lineup for 2022 has what you need. Here we’ve put together an overview of Chevy’s 2022 models to help you decide which car, truck, or SUV suits your needs best.

2022 Chevrolet Silverado

2022 Chevrolet Silverado

You can’t discuss Chevrolet without including the Silverado, Chevy’s premier full-size pickup. While it won’t be getting any wholesale changes, the refresh for 2022 should consist of some interesting features.

Chevy plans to update the front and rear fascias on the popular truck, adding modern design elements to standard features like LED headlights, taillights, and a multi-function tailgate. In addition, you can get a bed lighting system and tie-downs, but word on the street leads us to suspect new bed technology to arrive in 2022.

The Silverado will get a redesigned interior that adds functional comfort with options like under-seat storage, leather-appointed seats with heating and ventilation, and more in-vehicle technology. Of course, you’ll still get your touchscreen that powers your tech and connects your smart devices through Apple CarPlay and Android Auto. Bluetooth streaming technology continues as a standard feature, and Chevy also plans on keeping the Wi-Fi hot spot.

A new trim level, ZR2, should hit the streets in late 2021, expected to come loaded with premium features. You’ll still get all the same powertrain options in 2022, from the 2.7-liter Turbo to the 6.2-liter V-8 engines. Even the Duramax turbo-diesel engine remains an option. Drivers can expect the towing prowess to top out around 13,300 pounds when properly equipped.

2022 Chevrolet Bolt EUV2022 Bolt EUV

EUV stands for electric utility vehicles, and Chevy plans to put out the first of its kind in 2022. The Bolt EUV measures seven inches longer than the smaller Bolt hatchback, which we anticipate adding the utility claimed in its name. Chevy claims an EPA-estimated 247-mile range on a fully charged battery. It has power, too. Its 200 horsepower motor puts up an impressive 0-60 mph time of seven seconds.

Chevy added its Super Cruise driver-assist system that allows for hands-free driving on over 200,000 miles of compatible roads. It also features one-pedal driving, further maximizing your efficiency. Chevy Safety Assist comes standard on every Bolt EUV, giving you the confidence to handle the busy highways safely.

Inside the Bolt EUV you have seating for five and available heated and ventilated front seats. The 39.1 inches of rear-seat legroom means your adult friends won’t mind tagging along on your next road trip. If it’s the gear you need to haul, the rear seat folds flat, opening up 56.9 cubic feet of the cargo area.

A dual-level charging system comes standard, giving you options on how you want to recharge. Chevy will even pay for the Level 2 charger for select customers who purchase or lease a Bolt EUV. Your charging needs are covered on the road. You’ll have access to over 40,000 public charging stations nationwide.

2022 Chevrolet Blazer2021 Chevrolet Blazer

Chevy plans to shake up the Blazer lineup, drop the L and 1LT trims, and add an Activ trim. You’ll still have the 2LT, 3LT, RS, and Premier Blazer trims to choose from. This means Chevy will no longer offer the standard 2.5-liter engine. Instead, you’ll get their 2.0-liter turbocharged engine on the lower trims and a 3.6-liter V-6 engine that cranks out 306 horsepower on the higher trims. When you opt for all-wheel-drive, you’ll get Chevy’s Trailering Package standard.

Dropping the two bottom trims allows Chevrolet to claim that every trim gets the Chevy Safety Assist package as standard. This suite includes driver-assist systems like Forward Collision Alert, Automatic Emergency Braking, Lane Keeping, and Blind Spot Warning.

Exterior style upgrades are minor, including two new paint colors and an option for a two-tone roof on the Midnight, Sport, and Redline special editions. The RS model will continue to offer the two-tone option. The top-of-the-line Premier trim adds new rockers, wheel moldings, and fascias that use darker coloring to create stylish contrast. The Premier also comes with new wheel designs.

New Chevy CUV

Details are scarce on the vehicle that experts believe will replace the Chevy Spark, a compact car. The new CUV will be a compact utility vehicle that should have many of the same features as the Spark, but with a larger cabin and cargo area.

2022 Chevrolet Malibu

One of Chevy’s long-standing sedans, the Malibu, should get some stylish upgrades for 2022. It’s common knowledge that the Malibu will be discontinued after the 2024 model year, so we don’t anticipate any wild changes. Instead, you’ll see a few comfort and convenience upgrades on the inside. The exterior should get a light refresh for a more modern look.

2022 Chevrolet Equinox

Chevy’s small SUV, the Equinox, plays with the big boys, and Chevrolet plans on adding some exterior style to the front and rear fascias. The bulging hood and sculpted sides give Equinox an athletic profile. It turns heads as it rolls by on 19-inch Dark Android painted aluminum wheels.

Inside, you find premium cloth seating with leather-appointed seats available as an option. Your infotainment system comes with Amazon Alexa built-in, Apple CarPlay, and Android Auto, plus the ability to add a 4G LTE Wi-Fi hot spot.

It boasts a performance above its stature with a 1.5-liter turbo engine that puts out 170 horsepower and 203 pound-feet of torque. The Equinox powertrain provides smooth power on demand and an impressive 31 mpg highway rating. You can add the switchable all-wheel-drive system that constantly monitors driving dynamics and adjusts power between the axles to optimize traction and control.
